Casino . . .
Today is/was my oldest daughter’s birthday . . . I bought her one of those little cars that if you push it backwards and then let go of it, it goes fast for a distance and then stops . . . so . . . what I started to tell you was that she and I drove to a nearby town to TCB . . . like we went to the reservation CASINO . . . the local casino give you 1 $ for every year of your age on your birthday!! Well, she went to get her “birthday” money and I went to see what I could do with 20 USD. As I was wandering through the machines looking for a winning spot, someone called my name . . . HOLY CRAP . . . I didn’t think anyone would be there that I knew . . . it was JIMMY!! . . . an old friend from a year gone by.
yeh . . . Jimmy knows the “lava lamp” mind warp . . . we both BEEN THERE . . .
What’s interesting is, that after a few minutes, he said, “You don’t talk to people much do you?” Hmmm . . . what he meant was, that there was something different about my behavior . . . Jimmy is very perceptive.
. . . a little something for my friend . . . why talk when a pic is worth more than words . . .
Back in 1997 I spent 2 ½ months designing an interpretive walking tour program . . . the 2 ½ month period was spent walking several “tour” routes through a 1 square mile site . . . the area was located between two small towns . . . no phone service, no water, no place to pee . . . except behind bushes . . .
The first staff meeting that I attended when school started in September (I was teaching at the time), after working over the summer months on the project, a teacher said to me, “something happened to you over the summer, like a “religious” experience or something . . .”
Yeh, something happens to you when you separate yourself from other people . . . you might not be aware of the shift, but it happens and some people do notice.
2 ½ months in the summer heat or 6 months of blogging . . . uh . . . I’ve changed . . . yeh I can’t really talk to people about everyday things anymore . . . oh yeh, I came out of the casino on the minus side, lost 5$ . . .
