the day . . . Hipstamatically
I was in a FUNK this a.m. not depressed just in a dark mood . . . like I had to go to the food store . . . and some other less than creative stuff . . . then I took a drive . . . still FUNKED . . . bought some batteries for the PENTAX . . . which promptly devoured most of two . . . fired up the iPod Touch dialed in the “H” app and somehow IT dumped on me !!
. . . touch screens are o.k. but when I start doing stuff I have a tendency to rely TOO much on the technology doing what my old analog mecha used to do . . . that is . . . not change settings because I inadvertently dragged my finger over the screen . . .
. . . anyway I got some fairly decent images of an old railroad depot site . . . rusty metal concrete.
When the railroad was operational this little spot was known as Zurich as in Switzerland . . . shipped cattle and talc . . .
. . . wood at a nearby holding pen for cattle . . .
. . . and then I drove on down the road . . .
. . . shot some pics of a radio telescope and then I drove on down the road . . .
A single lane yield to oncoming traffic . . .
About one mile east of the radio observatory facility there’s a “shooting range” behind a low ridge . .
the spent shotgun cartridges look a lot like cigarette butts . .
. . . some of the images are with the Salvador 84 lens . . . those without the black frame.
