Most people who see my pottery assume that I have a “studio” . . . I don’t. My workspace consists of a canvas covered piece of plywood, a piece of 2 inch thick kitchen countertop laminate, and two collapsable sawhorses.
I use local clay . . . non-clay inclusions are left in the clay body . . . Several clay bodies are sometimes combined to build the vessels . . . The different clays are wedged together to create a new clay body, variegated or marbled in appearance . . . that is, the individual clay bodies retain there original colors although being blended into a workable mass.
Time for some coffee then back to work . . .
