Just bought the Polaroid app Instant: Polaroid Instant Camera for my iPod Touch . . . O – M – G !! So AWESOME !!
Checkitout . . .
Lots of options text fingerprints vignette outdated film pack etc etc etc. AND you can import from yer camera roll . . . my old school summer crush has rolled into town . . . yeh!!
What started out simply enough ended up being a simple fuck-up . . . my new fone (net10) was a monthly plan thing didn’t read the stuff on the box . . . $50 USD + $99USD (fone) . . .
As I worked my way through the day I did find something interesting and after dumping it in the POP cam solution in PhotoForge 2 out came this image:
Name the Fauve . . .
The PhotoForge 2 and Pixlr-o-matic apps are like what the old Polaroid cameras used to be like . . . color wasn’t always “right” image washed-out or there was a chemical smear . . . but that was the beauty of early photo equipment you had to learn the limitations and then make the new parameters work for you.
You have to make the camera do what YOU want it to do . . .
Been thinking about Polaroid . . . so I did two more “fakes” using the Lo-mob app.
Impossible Back Instant 2 option,
And the 6X9 Instant Emulsion feature.
The moth was hanging around the back door this afternoon when I got home, so I shot a few pix with my iPod Touch 5G cam and the Photojojo wide angle/macro lens combo.
Here’s the original photo:
the squareness . . .
of it all.

create process for . . . persona
freehand . . . cardboard template . . . tape-up
. . . for some reason the square format has always lingered in the background of the creative . . . MY creative processes . . . like a buzzing in the ears . . . Hasselblad, Yashica . . . TTL . . . SpartaFlex . . . retro . . .
Today I did the first attack . . . spray can arsenal on boxboard templates I made a few days ago . . .
. . . squareness is my mission . . . to make personal persona tag marks . . . the grafitto paint imagery will also serve as background for manipulation on the iPad with downloaded drawing and text apps . . . multiple exposure . . . Lomo and random FX generation . . . .
I was suddenly aware of the fact that aerosol paint does not set fast and I had smudged lines . . . but now I know that my project will work best with wide tape masking and pieces of cardboard to use as straight edges . . .
A tribute to my gone Polaroid . . .
