My Old Bag of Tricks . . .
Being the last day of 2011, I decided to share a bit of the past . . . so here are some photos of my old Miranda Sensomat and the the Nikon FM.
The Miranda was the first 35 mm camera I bought . . . it was my introduction to photography over forty years ago . . . the Nikon FM came later, after the Minolta XE-7 . . . the Minolta was stolen in Mexico, and changed my attitude about Mexico.
The Nikon FM with 3 lenses was the workhorse . . . and I learned how to make it do what I wanted it to do . . . being able to over-ride the auto-exposure metering and shutter speed . . .
The 24mm for gallery openings and interior shots . . .
. . . the 43-86 Nikkor zoom . . .
The 55mm f/2.8 macro . . .
. . . so with my Nikon Coolpix (all the “bells and whistles” I need), my iPod Touch and iPad, I am now able to make use of the digital technology available to generate images in a matter of minutes that would have taken days, 20 years ago.
